It's A Bright, Bright, Sunshiny Day!

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous day. The sky is a brilliant shade of blue today and it looks like it's shaping up to be a wonderful day here in Hawaii. I know that I haven't mentioned it, but I've had a touch of the flu since Monday evening (the reason I was MIA yesterday). It started with a runny nose and sneezing and then the fever, body aches and headaches followed. (I'll be getting my flu vaccine this coming Tuesday). I'm happy to report that as of today I'm feeling much healthier and ready to tackle life once again. So, in celebration, I'm adding 2 more items to the giveaway.

First up is this quilted yo-yo eyeglass case. It's made for eyeglasses but you could store any small electronic gadget in it as well.

Do you remember these beaded strawberries from my post in May? Well this set of 5 beaded strawberries (lightly scented in vanilla pecan) can be yours as well.

You could be the winner of the eyeglass case and beaded strawberries along with...

this Violet Posie Handy Dandy Pincushion...

this pale yellow and mint green pin...

this 8-pocket travel jewelry tote...

these flower hairpins...

this ice cream cone ornament with beaded wire hanger...

this pretty Fall sunflower tissue holder...

and this Sunshine Posy handbag.

To be eligible for this giveaway, please share your favorite holiday cookie or dessert recipe along with the reason why it is special to you in my comment section under my post of September 3rd. You will not be judged by your recipe. The giveaway will end on Monday, September 22, 2008, which also happens to be the first day of Fall. A winner will be chosen by random number generator on Tuesday, September 23, 2008.

As the nights grow colder for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, you will appreciate this easy recipe for chicken soup that was sent to me by Isabella of I Just Love To Stitch. Isabella is a quilter who just recently started blogging. If you have some time, please stop by and welcome her to blogland.

Here is her recipe:

ISABELLA'S YUMMY CHICKEN SOUP

2pkts chicken noodle cup a soup

Tin of corn kernels

Tin of creamed corn (optional)

Chicken (can be drum sticks or any chicken)

1 onion cut smallish

Boil chicken and onion (keep your stock)

Mix up soup mix, add your stock

& tins of corn ( here I add some frozen vegs to bulk it up a bit)

and meat chopped from chicken

ENJOY!

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Aloha!
